We are very honored to be featured on Style Me Pretty’s blog: Little Black Book. This shoot was so much fun to put together and to see the work of local and very talented vendors on a great blog such as Style Me Pretty, it makes all of the hard work worth it.
This shoot was a creative process that I have been thinking about for a couple of years. I had one main element that I wanted to incorporate – modern, and so begun the Pinterest board full of elements that I thought would capture this theme. I feel that too many styled shoots are not applicable to an actual wedding, and don’t offer a lot of ideas to brides as they begin to look for those details that define “them” on their wedding day. So I wanted to infuse the modern element, while still maintaining ideas and inspiration that a bride would want to incorporate in to their wedding day. The theme that I have seen repeated over the past year is Art Deco, and felt that making this another main element throughout the shoot would not only compliment the modern theme, but give brides and grooms ideas looking for that perfect Art Deco wedding.
I met with Anastasia Ehlers Floral Design, a few months ago and we chatted about our upcoming year and then the subject of this shoot came up. I told her my ideas, elements I wished to incorporate, and she being the amazingly creative person she is, had some wonderful ideas to add. We created a Pinterest board and began accumulated all of our ideas. We asked a few other very talented vendors to contribute to the shoot and all of them were just as excited as we were, and gave so much of their time and talent into making this shoot a success. We can’t thank you enough Anastasia Ehlers Floral Design, Little Arrow Design & Stationary, Happily Ever After Films, Blush Bridal Boutique, Boudica Salon, Rachel Bakken Make Up Artist, and Parties to Go. You made this day absolutely perfect!
Also, a big thank you to our models, Carissa & Justin. You made our job easy!
