We had a very busy January last year and I didn’t compile a featured blog post of any of our favorite images from 2014 and after shooting more beautiful weddings of sweet couples, I decided to create a blog post featuring the last two years of weddings. Narrowing the process of our favorite images is not an easy task. We are very blessed to have this job of documenting the love between such people and for that, thank you for entrusting Paul and I with the most important day of your lives. We look forward to all of our 2016 weddings!

We are offering a complementary engagement session to any wedding booked by January 20th and our dates are quickly filling up. Contact us for more info. 🙂

Enjoy!

Laura & Andy were married at Sweet Cheeks Winery in Eugene and even with a cloudy day, the sky gave way to this back drop.

Kasey wore a string of pearls that were worn by several generations of women in her family on their wedding day.

Ashley & Zach’s wedding was the first of several weddings we documented at The Pelican Brew Pub in Pacific City, Oregon and this bride was amazing! She didn’t mind hiking up a huge sand dune in a gorgeous wedding dress to get shots like this. 🙂

The recessional is my favorite part of a ceremony to document. I love the emotion between Jeanette and Justin as they became husband and wife under an old oak tree at Mt. Pisgah in Eugene, Oregon.

Liz & Matt’s wedding at King Estate Winery was perfectly gorgeous in every way. The attention to detail by all of the vendors went above and beyond and to make it even more incredible, Liz and Matt were a dream to photograph.

These next two images show the benefit of two photographers with different lenses and creative eyes. My image is the first and Paul’s image is the second one.

The quiet moments are some of my favorites. This was taken at Haley & Jake’s wedding at Stewart Family Farm.

A sweet venue tucked away in Dallas, Oregon called Perryhill Orchard. Despite a very hot and bright day for Alexis and Casey’s wedding, we got these images of a most adorable couple.

We almost missed this gorgeous light at Kasey & Jerry’s wedding at Blue Rooster Bed and Breakfast. We saw the sun quickly disappearing during the ceremony and when we suggested moving all the group photos to after the formal bride and groom photos, they were completely flexible. They also didn’t mind bringing their horse down the hill for photos when I asked. 😉

The beautiful ceremony for Liz & Matt at King Estate, and Liz in her Lazaro wedding dress! 🙂

Some of my favorite Father Daughter first dance photos were at Kasey & Jerry’s wedding.

We had very little light at their reception, but these candles reflecting off the wine glasses that her parents used at their wedding provided for the most perfect lighting.

Kasey rode her horse for her wedding processional.

The bridesmaid dresses were gorgeous at Liz & Matt’s wedding.

The wedding party is waiting to walk down the aisle for Katherine and Tyler’s wedding and the light is streaming in through the stained glass windows.

One of favorite close up images at Grace & Jason’s wedding.

We found a field not far from her parent’s home that gave great color on a summer evening.

Grace and her parents before her father walks her down the aisle. 🙂

Jeanette & Justin’s sweet first look at her parent’s home.

The many details, big and small for Liz & Matt’s wedding at King Estate.

I love the excitement in this image as the bridesmaid brings the wedding dress to the bride.

Liz gave her mom a handkerchief with an embroidered poem from a children’s book that she often read to Liz.

Jen’s wedding dress was beyond stunning, and the light at Walnut Ridge Vineyard! 🙂

Jennifer & Adam were married on the Oregon Coast with a reception following at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. The Oregon coast can be fickle, but the day was perfect for photos.

The light provided by a tiny window made these images gorgeous. Never underestimate just a small window.

The dancing at Elizabeth & Sam’s wedding were so fun to photograph and watch. 🙂 This is Sam with his mom for their first dance.

Laura’s wedding dress was one of the most beautifully delicate dresses I have seen and she wore it perfectly.

Finding little pockets of light in an orchard are some of my favorite lighting situations, and Leah and Chad made it perfect. 🙂

I loved documenting the emotions between Laura and her mom.

The view at Sweet Cheeks is gorgeous.

Krystal and Matt booked us over the phone roughly a year ago and after meeting Krystal a few weeks prior to their wedding and chatting for an hour, I couldn’t have been more excited to document their wedding day. They are a couple full of sincere kindness with families that are an absolute joy to be around.

Thank you for choosing us to document your beautiful wedding day, Krystal and Matt. We had a wonderful time and wish you all the happiness.

Paul and I were honored to be asked to photograph my cousin’s wedding in Boston this past weekend. I don’t see my family often enough and when we do have the opportunity to visit with each other, I am reminded that there are too many miles between us.

Sarah & Dan had a beautiful ceremony in Park Street Church surrounded by their family and friends that had flown from great distances to share in their celebration of their new life together. Despite the freezing cold temperatures (12 degrees with a wind chill), they were willing to stand out in the cold for a few minutes so we could get some images in the Boston Commons and the John Weeks Bridge.

Thank you, Sarah & Dan. We loved being your photographers and wish you all the happiness in the years to come. You two are caring, genuine people and make a perfect match.

I blogged many more photos than I typically blog, but it’s even more difficult to narrow down when it’s  my family. 🙂

The pearls were a gift from Sarah’s parents.

She made a beautiful bride. 🙂

Bride & Mom

We braved the cold for a few minutes to photograph the First Look on the John Weeks Bridge.

Braving the cold in the Boston Commons.

She wore a fir that was our Great Grandmothers and had her initials on the inside. 🙂

The reception was held on the top floor of the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge and the view was beautiful.

My Dad and Isabella dancing. 🙂

Gracelynn having a good time dancing with Papa.

My adorable little boy that danced and danced and danced. 😉

Abbey & Isaac were married at the Green Villa Barn on a perfect January day and her beautiful wedding dress looked like small snow flakes against the dusting of snow.  Their ceremony was a perfect representation of their story and what the future holds for them and we couldn’t be happier to document such a beautiful story.

The first look

Abbey & Isaac had a foot washing ceremony as part of their ceremony.

Communion was provided for all of the guests while Abbey & Isaac took communion.

We always enjoy documenting weddings in Pacific City. The event staff are amazing to work with and our couples happily hike up the sand dune to capture the picturesque setting in their photos. We hadn’t photographed a wedding in October in Pacific City, but the day was perfect in every way.

Congratulations, Anna & David!

We wish you all the happiness. 🙂
